I've been interested in photography for more years than I care to remember and I decided to create this site to share some of my favourite images and give information on techniques such as studio lighting and film development.
Over the years, I've used a wide range of both film and digital equipment and tried my hand at most genres of photography, with varying degrees of success. There is a wide range of work organised into a number of galleries.
When I started the site in 2002, the site was, as it its name suggests, purely monochrome. However, the site does now contain quite a few color shots, taken mainly with digital cameras.
There was a time when the mere thought of using a digital rather than a film camera would make me shudder. Nowadays, I have become rather less dogmatic and find that both media are equally pleasurable. After all, at the end of the day, it's the image that counts rather than the method of producing it. That said, I do get a special buzz from using my large-format gear! I hope you find this site interesting and enjoyable. Please bookmark it, as it changes on a regular basis.
